Craft Beer Garden and Restaurant Comes to Cooper River
After several years’ worth of anticipation, The Cooper House is finally opening its doors to the public on Sunday, June 5. Formerly a seafood restaurant, the space was bulldozed and rebuilt by the county, with the help of restaurateur Kevin Meeker.
With the early June opening in the works, Cooper House will feature a wine, beer and cocktail list, with a focus on local wineries, breweries and distilleries. The 40-seat beer garden on the porch will sit right on the Cooper River, giving drinkers and diners an unbeatable view of the Philadelphia skyline.
The restaurant’s soft launch began May 18, but the grand opening is slated just in time for the summer. And while an official beer list hasn’t been announced, if Keg & Kitchen’s reputation is worth anything, Meeker’s new spot won’t disappoint.
