Mix up Magical Cocktails With Unicorn Tears

by Ryan Hudak on Sep 29, 2015 in Liquor

Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’ve been looking for that one bottle of booze that would appeal to the inner child of those on your list, you can now relax. Thanks to Firebox, makers of the wonderful new Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur, you’ll be able to impress all the youngsters at heart. The bottle sports a sweet, sparkly unicorn on the front and floating all throughout the liqueur are tiny flecks of edible silver. It’s so pretty!

The gin liqueur is 40% ABV and is said to taste of juniper (of course), candied orange peel, and maple syrup—so, basically like a candied Christmas tree. This WILL be the perfect gift for someone! But, it does sound like it will be along the lines of Not Your Father's Root Beer—fun for a while, but sickeningly sweet if you have more than one or two.

I’m assuming this will be the go-to drink of first-time drinkers everywhere. They’ll be able to say they like gin without actually having real gin, and they’ll have the added awesomeness of being able to drink real pieces of silver, almost like Goldschlager! Woah! I just can’t wait to see their faces once this gimmick is up and they try to order real gin that doesn’t have the cloying sweetness to ease them through it—that will be the best Christmas gift of all.
