Anthony Bourdain Becomes Spokesperson For Balvenie Scotch, Sort Of
Every foodie’s favorite foul-mouthed culinary superstar will soon be able to add another host credit to his ever-growing resume. Partnering with Scottish whisky distillery Balvenie, Anthony Bourdain is set to host a sequence of short films as part of a series that will highlight “America’s finest craftspeople.” The series will be called Raw Craft. Additionally, Bourdain will lead a party of jurors in selecting two Fellows for the American Craft Council Rare Craft Fellowship Awards, as well as minister The Balvanie 2015 Rare Craft Collection.
Bourdain is looking quite forward to the partnership, having stated,
“For me, there is deep satisfaction in seeing people, with a particular skill set and a real passion, produce a beautiful thing, which is why I’m excited to be a part of these programs in partnership with The Balvenie. There is no doubt for me that if you can have it, you want the stuff where people have taken their time, paid attention to and personally care about how it was created. It is very important to me that these kinds of crafts continue into the future and we value artisans who make the decision to choose quality over quantity.“
On their part, Belvanie is allowing you to take part in the fun as well as they embark on a multi–city tour next fall –a tour of whisky tastings, tutorials, demonstrations and all the other things that dreams are made of.
