Acadia
5–10 PM; $65

Ambonnay

4 PM–close; PAYG
Portland’s first dedicated sparkling wine bar will be pouring six special magnums throughout the evening, all of which are rarely available by the glass (107 SE Washington Street; 503-575-486).

Bossanova Ballroom

Champagne Ball

The 22nd annual Champagne Ball is the most classic NYE party you’ll find in town. Party hats, balloons, confetti, Champagne and plenty of noise making party favors to use during the big countdown. Best of all, you can justify your hangover with the fact that proceeds benefit the Children’s Cancer Association. Go ahead, drink for the kids. Departure

If your idea of a night out for NYE means fireworks, cocktails and the best party hits of the past year, reserve your spot at Departure. Ground Kontrol

Holocene

You have two chances to break out your fancy clothes and dance away 2012 at Holocene. The early party includes complimentary cava, sparkling cocktail specials and festive snacks. This RiverPlace Hotel bar and grill is the perfect spot for a traditional NYE filled with sparkling wine and fireworks. The only way you will have a better view of the fireworks over the river is on a boat (1510 SW Harbor Way; 503-295-6166).

Urban Farmer
All evening; $10 cover or $80 dinner
A special four-course prix fixe will be offered in addition to the á la carte menu, but it’s just $10 to get in for the party in the Atrium, which kicks of with a DJ at 9 PM (525 SW Morrison St., 8th Fl.; 503-222-4900).
