Finally, A Machine That Pours Beer For Us

No one likes to wait in line. It is especially terrible when the item being purchased after waiting in line is awful, overpriced beer from a stadium vendor. Fortunately, Montesano-based GrinOn Industries has created a product that may ease the pain of the process of such painful purchases with its Bottoms Up Dispensing System for beer which the company claims is the fastest beer dispensing system in the world. The following video, posted by the company on YouTube, shows four cups being filled simultaneously in only nine seconds. The Bottoms Up Dispenser has set the world record by filling up 44 pints in one minute while only being operated by a single person. Bartenders beware.

The thing that allows the system to work is a magnet at the bottom of the cup that is pushed up as the cup is placed on the machine. Once the cup is filled to the top (an amount that is pre-set by the server) the machine stops adding beer and the magnet at the bottom is pushed down by the weight of the liquid, replacing the hole that was created to fill the cup. Each machine can be hooked up to four different types of beer which makes it a good fit for the cramped space of food vendors at music or sports venues.

The company also claims that the Dispensing System has added value by offering advertising opportunities for beer companies, sports teams, and other companies. The magnet at the bottom of each cup can be used as an effective way for companies to show off their logos or send a small but effective message to the consumer. Somehow, the pouring method still manages to produce a nice head (well, nice is relative considering the beers that are generally “poured” are from big beer companies) near the top of each cup and the machine supposedly eliminates what the company refers to as “foamy beer problems”. No matter what your thoughts are on the dispensing system, I think we can all agree that now that we don’t even have to pour our own beer, technology is assuredly well on its way to doing just about everything for us.  Or enslaving us.
