Laphroaig Turns Reviews Into Christmas Carols
Laphroaig is an award-winning scotch, originating from Islay, the southernmost island of Scotland. This past year, Laphroaig collected opinions as part of its “Opinions Welcome” campaign. The rich and smoky taste of the scotch has gotten mixed reviews, some so unique that the folks at Laphroaig have set them to the tune of popular Christmas carols featuring a Scottish choir.
There are two chapters of the “Laphroaig Whisky Christmas Choir.” Some people really love it, such as Alberto Mora, who compares “licking the last drop of Laphroaig off his mustache,” to feeling like “the manliest man in the damn world.” Others have slightly unfavorable opinions, such as that it tastes like if someone were to “take a first aid kit and pour the contents into a bucket of sea water.”
Opinions are always welcome at Laphroaig. There’s even an Opinion Wall on its website, where you can check out more entertaining reviews. Feeling creative? Post your own and Laphroaig might feature it in the next installment of the Laphroaig Whisky Christmas Choir. Check out both installments of the Laphroaig Whisky Christmas Choir below. Happy Holidays!
