The Best of Both Worlds Meet at the First South Jersey Bacon and Beer Festival, Thurs., Aug. 14
Bacon and beer are coming together for one beautiful night of over-the-top indulgence at the First Annual South Jersey Bacon and Beer Festival.
Created to benefit Crossroads Program — a Willingboro-based non-profit that provides health and development resources for homeless, abused and at-risk youth — this brand-new event brings foodies, beer lovers and anyone with a taste for the finer things in life.
It may be a new event for Collingswood, but the South Jersey Bacon and Beer Festival should be a huge hit. A ton of South Jersey restaurants and caterers have signed on to support this truly decadent cause, including:
The Pop Shop
Keg & Kitchen
Whole Hog Cafe
Ott’s Tavern
The Little Tuna
Braddock’s Tavern
And a dozen more. The chefs will be serving up samples of dishes starring salty, crispy bacon. Meanwhile, craft breweries from up and down the east coast will be pouring some of their favorite beers to pair with the plates. You’ll find sips from:
Evil Genius Beer Company
Flying Fish Brewing Company
Pinelands Brewing Company
Rinn Duin Brewing
River Horse Brewing Company
Saucony Creek Brewing Co.
Sly Fox
Weyerbacher
Yards Brewing Company
Best of all, the proceeds benefit an organization that has been tending to Tri-State teens in need for more than 35 years. Proceeds will go towards helping the 350 youths who receive care from Crossroads annually, providing them with the opportunity to grow up with the resources they need.
Tickets are onsale on Where To Eat, along with some pretty sweet beer and bacon t-shirts available for true fans of all things delicious.
