6 Places to Pair Your Drink With Lobster in Baltimore

Here in Maryland we have a lot of love for the crab, but as summer winds down, we encourage you to branch out to another crustacean: the lobster. Baltimore has many options for lobster-loving drinkers and lots of great beverage menus to enhance your seafood meal. Check out our favorites below and accessorize your lobster bib with a classy drink in your hand.

Alonso’s and Loco Hombre: Tuesdays are “bring your own bib” night in Hampden, where you can order a platter of fresh Maine lobster with baked potato and corn. The meal will go perfectly with the restaurant's large selection of bottle and draft beers (415 W Cold Spring Ln.; 410-235-3433).

Kali’s Court: Order a whole coldwater lobster while you're in Fells Point this summer and you won't regret it. Plus, the 12-page wine list here offers plenty of ways to set your dinner apart from the rest (1606 Thames St.; 410-276-4700).

Michael’s Steak and Lobster House: When a restaurant has an entire section of the menu dedicated to lobster entrees and a second for surf and turf, you know you're in for a seafood treat. House and additional bottled wines are all offered at a reasonable price, so go for the splurge on your delectable meal (6209 Eastern Ave.; 410-633-6485).

Oceanaire: The live North Atlantic lobsters at this Harbor East seafood restaurant are sure to satisfy your lobster craving. Dare to pair your lobster with one of the wines off the impressive list or get there in time to start with a discounted cocktail at happy hour (801 Aliceanna St.; 443-872-0000).

Thames Street Oyster House: Your mouth will water when you see allthe lobster choices on the menu and from the raw bar. While you're there, round out your seafood experience with one of the many oyster shooter options (1728 Thames St.; 443-449-7726).

The Capital Grille: This Inner Harbor restaurant serves a fresh-broiled Atlantic lobster that you can enjoy while enjoying the ample outdoor seating.  With over 350 wines to choose from, don't be afraid to ask for a pairing recommendation (500 East Pratt St.; 443-703-4064).
